The Every Day Mission
This Bible study was written for teens about to leave for an international mission experience. It is important to remember that we were created to fulfill God's call on our life every day. Therefore, as you work through this study, think of every day as a mission trip for the cause of Christ. Be blessed as God shows Himself and His plan to you!
Please begin with prayer.
Read Matthew 28:18-20, John 17:18
Why are we working and preparing to go on this mission trip? What motivates us? More importantly, what should be motivating us? As you do this Bible study, please ask God to plant His purposes in your heart. Ask Him to help you to surrender to Him all your dreams and hopes for this trip. Ask Him to replace them with His purpose for the mission trip.
Answer the following questions. They will be discussed at the ninth week meeting.
What is the Great Commission?
What does this mean?
What is at stake as we go and present the Gospel? In other words, why is what we are doing important to the lives of those we meet?
How can you personally impact the world for Christ as called for in the Great Commission?
On this trip, in what ways will you be able to impact the lives of those we reach for Christ?
Please list the gifts that God has given you to impact the world, specifically the people we are about to visit, for Him? Do not be bashful! Within our team, there are all the gifts we need to be effective. Please really think about what you are good at or the spiritual gifts that God has given you!
Finally, write a prayer asking God to show you your gifts, give you eyes to see chances for ministry and strength and wisdom for this trip.
Memory Verse for the week!
"My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them. I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their hearts." (Jeremiah 24:4-7)
Remember: We go in love and in the name of the Lord!
