UNIFORM CODE FOR CALVARY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

KINDERGARTEN & ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

(K4, K5, 1st - 5th GRADES)

Calvary Christian School students will wear a uniform based on the following code. This code will be strictly enforced. All items must be purchased through our uniform company except as noted in the school dress code. Items that are not purchased through the uniform company will be unacceptable. Our uniform code adds to discipline and a spirit of unity, and it is a positive witness for the Lord. Please help us in this area.

 BOYS

• Shirt: Powder blue short sleeve polo shirt with school logo.
• Slacks: Navy blue cotton slacks.
• Sweatshirt: Navy blue with school logo.
• Socks: Navy blue socks.
• Shoes: K-4 through 1st grades : Tennis shoes may be worn at all times. 2nd through 5th grades: Black dress shoes. Tennis shoes may not be worn in the school. Tennis shoes may be worn only during outdoor time. Tennis shoes should be in book bag all other times.

• Jumper: Blue plaid, pleated skirt style. Gym shorts must beworn at ALL times under the jumper. (Gym shorts at a local store.)
• Blouse: White, pointed collar blouse.
• Sweatshirt: Navy blue with school logo.
• Socks: White or Navy blue knee socks. White or Navy blue tights or leggings may be worn for warmth. Socks must be worn if leggings are removed and no sweat pants will be allowed.
• Shoes: K-4 through 1st grades: Tennis shoes may be worn at all times. 2nd through 5th grades: Black/White Saddle Oxfords or Black dress shoes. Tennis shoes may not be worn in the school. Tennis shoes may be worn only during outdoor time. Tennis shoes should be in book bag all other times.

• Skirt: Navy blue, kick pleat skirt, to middle of knee or lower. Gym shorts are to be worn at ALL times under the skirt. (Gym shorts may be purchased at a local store.)
• Blouse- White short sleeve polo shirt with school logo.
• Sweatshirt: Navy blue with school logo.
• Socks: White or Navy blue socks, hose or leggings. No sweat pants are allowed.
• Shoes: Black or blue dress shoes. Tennis shoes may not be worn in the school. Tennis shoes may be worn only during outdoor time. Tennis shoes should be In book bag or locker all other times.

• Sweatshirt: Navy blue with school logo.
• Socks: White or Navy blue socks.
• Shoes: Brown or black dress shoes. No Boots. Tennis shoes may not be worn in the school. Tennis shoes may be worn only during outdoor time. Tennis shoes should be in book bag or locker all other times.

• Skirt: Khaki A-line skirt to middle of knee or lower.
• Blouse: Navy blue short sleeve polo shirt with school logo.
• Sweatshirt: Navy blue with school logo.
• Socks: White or Navy blue socks, hose or leggings. No sweat pants are allowed.
• Shoes: Black or brown dress shoes. No Clogs or Boots. Tennis shoes may not be worn in the school. Tennis shoes may be worn only during outdoor time. Tennis shoes should be in book bag or locker all other times.

This uniform code will be strictly enforced. Parents are asked to help us maintain high standards regarding uniforms. Students are expected to come to school clean and in proper uniform each school day. Uniforms that are damaged or have holes must be replaced. In the event a student comes to school out of uniform, in a partial uniform, or in a nonconforming uniform, an "Out of Uniform" notice will be sent home with the student at the end of the day. In the event the student repeatedly comes to school out of uniform, the parents will be called to bring the appropriate clothing or pick up the student. Additionally, boys will not be allowed to wear any jewelry except a watch, and must be clean shaven with neat collar-length hair or shorter. No "rat-tails", "exotic haircuts" or colors will be allowed. Jean-jackets are discouraged. Girls must use modesty in use of jewelry. No makeup is allowed for girls in 6th grade or below. Modest use is permitted 7th grade and above.

Flynn & O'Hara Uniform Company representatives visit the school on a date selected by the administration. You may place an order at that time by filling in the top portion of an order form and indicating the quantities that you would like to order. On the measuring day, have your student bring the completed order form and deposits to school. It is not necessary for you to accompany the student. Allowance is made for summer growth.

Order forms are available in the school office. Please complete the top portion of the order form, indicate quantities and sizes, using the chart on the reverse side of the order form as a guide. If not sure of size, please list measurements so that size can be determined. Enclose payment in full, plus $4.00 shipping charge. Make check or money order payable to "Flynn and O'Hara" or charge your order to VISA, Mastercard, or Discover. Total purchase will be charged to your account when the order is placed.
