Welcome to Calvary
Christian School!
“Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Hi, welcome to the third and fourth
grade class! It is a blessing to have your child in my classroom this year. I
am looking forward to an educational and fun-filled year as I get to know you
and your child.. This year, we will strive to make this a wonderful experience
for everyone. With prayer, organization, and commitment, we can accomplish our
goals.
I have a few suggestions listed
below that can help make our school year orderly and pleasant.
·
The Communication folder: Please send this to
school with your student each day. This folder may be used to send notes to me
or the school, place lunch money or tickets, and return important papers to the
school office. Please be sure to check
these folders each evening, as they may contain important papers or notes from
me.
·
Please send in a piece of fruit for snack each
day. (No fruit cups or juice boxes/pouches, please.) The fruit should be cut
and ready to eat.
·
We will promptly begin class at 8:30AM each day.
We have a lot to cover, so thank you in advance for having your child arrive on
time.
·
Our classroom air conditioner does a great job ,
and at times the room can seem a little chilly. Please be sure to send your
child’s school sweatshirt in their backpack each day if they are not wearing it
to school.
I am very pleased to be able to
keep you informed on our class webpages. I will be posting our class lesson
plans on a regular basis. This will help you know where your student should be
in a subject, when test and quizzes are being given, and what areas are assigned
for homework. Please be aware that there may be changes to the plans based on
what is needed to help the students have success in the classroom.
As we begin this year with great excitement,
it is my sincere desire, to not only
provide your child an excellent educational experience, but to help them develop
Christ-like character as they grow in their faith in Him.
In His Name,
Mrs. Lynda Scott
